Space Hellas, as part of its ongoing commitment to developing innovative "smart solutions," is implementing a pioneering project for the Municipality of Patras aimed at raising awareness, providing education, and enhancing the experience of both residents and visitors through a new digital City Guide and Experiential Learning platform.
The project involves the development of a web and mobile application featuring map navigation and points of interest, along with a wealth of practical information such as landmarks, commercial locations, services, intercity bus routes (KTEL), electric vehicle charging stations, pharmacies on duty, and other points of immediate citizen assistance.
A central component of this new digital ecosystem is the Chatbot service - a digital assistant offering 24/7 support and interactive communication with users, providing information about points of interest and the application's content dynamically adapting to each conversation.
Additionally, through the interactive learning service, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to explore the city experientially via specially designed exploration games. These games cover themes such as the history of Patras, smart mobility, and environmental awareness. The games will take place in the physical city space, utilizing QR codes at selected locations to enhance engagement and learning experience.
The new platform leverages and expands the existing digital infrastructure of the Municipality by integrating the portal explore.patras.gr, as well as content from previous projects. Moreover, new multimedia material will be produced for at least 40 points of interest, alongside specialized content highlighting aspects of the city such as its commercial center, entertainment, and gastronomy.
The platform's cloud-based management tool will enable the Municipality to create, monitor, and adjust educational and awareness activities without requiring technical expertise, ensuring continuous renewal and effective use of the application.
