CALGARY, Aug. 9 /CNW/ - Solid Resources ("SRW"-TSXV) is pleased to
announce that it has received Dr. Rolf Burkhardt's report on the diamond drill
program that was carried out on the El Sacrificio project in Durango, Mexico
during the period from December 2005 to May 2006. Dr. Burkhardt was the
geologist in charge of the work program in Mexico and resides in Spain. All
the information contained in this news release was taken from Dr. Burkhardt's
report which was received at Solid's office on July 26, 2006. During this
period four holes were drilled, all at forty-five degrees with a total length
of 1856.25 meters. 599 samples of one meter core length were split and sent to
Acme Analytical Labs in Vancouver, BC. However, all the core is mineralized
and, as a result, much more core splitting and assaying must be done.
Three of the four drill holes were collared with no overburden and one
hole had less than one meter overburden. Each drill hole depth is as follows:

CONCLUSIONS
1. In the concession of the Sacrificio Property higher Cu, Mo and lesser
amounts of Pb, Zn mineralization was detected. Ag mineralization is
   also present locally.
2. Mineralization is bound to a granodiorite intrusion and to surrounding
   limestones, mostly altered to skarn.
3. Mineralization in skarn consists generally of smaller m-wide zones
(mantos) of a higher grade Cu mineralization, mostly as disseminated
bornite in the form of cm-dm wide spots and fracture fillings.
4. However, mineralization in granodiorite appears as widely disseminated
with quartz veinlets. Quartz veinlets frequently forming a stock work,
consisting generally of Cu and Mo mineralization in the form of
chalcopyrite and molybdenite. Both minerals occupy different zones of
   distribution inside the granodiorite.
5. Inside the granodiorite, all mineralization was open to depth.
6. The mineralization consists of Chalcopyrite, Bornite, Tetrahedrite,
   Molybdenite, Sphalerite and Galena.
