EDMONTON, Oct. 10 /CNW/ - Solid Resources Ltd. ("Solid") is pleased to
announce encouraging initial results from their geological appraisal and
sampling of the Nickel, Copper, Cobalt, PGM bearing prospects occurring within
the Varallo Concession, Piemonte, Italy.
Approximately 42 prospects will be examined and sampled under the
direction of Dr. Vito Meggiolaro. Results from sampling the first 12 prospects
have been received. The prospects with the most significant potential in terms
of Nickel, Copper and Cobalt values are the Campello Monti, Alpe Del Leghetto,
Monte Capio, La Balma, Sella Bassa and Castel Di Gavala.
At Campello Monti chip sampling from disseminated sulphides gave the
following results:

Recent sampling of sulphides from Sella Bassa, Alpe Del Laghetto,
Valmaggia old dumps returned high nickel values (more than one percent)
besides significant copper and cobalt values. Sampling results from the other
30 prospects will be released as soon as they are available. A scout drilling
program will be carried out as soon as climatic conditions are favorable and
surface sampling and assaying have been completed.
