New York Hospital Upgrades Three X-Ray Rooms from Film to IDC Digital
Radiography
CALGARY, April 7 /CNW/ - IDC (Imaging Dynamics Company Ltd.) (TSX: IDL), the global leader in the rapidly growing market for digital radiography, today announced that Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs, New York has purchased IDC's X2200, X1590, and X1600 Plus direct digital radiography (DR) systems to replace conventional film X-ray equipment in its three radiography rooms. Saratoga Hospital chose IDC for its ease-of-use, user-friendly interface, customer service and affordability.
Saratoga Hospital has more than 280 physicians with a wide range of medical specialties. The hospital, which is more than 100 years old, has been pursuing digital technology to achieve efficiencies in many areas of care. According to Mildred Aviles, Director of Medical Imaging Services at Saratoga Hospital, "Upgrading to IDC's DR systems is helping us to better meet the imaging needs of both our physicians and patients. We are able to provide information more quickly and accurately to a larger number of people."
According to Bruce Ashby, Vice President Northeast Region, IDC, "We are pleased to have been selected by Saratoga Hospital, which is very progressive in its vision and exacting in its health care standards."
The hospital conducted an extensive evaluation of digital radiography systems prior to making its purchasing decision. "We went on several site visits and talked to customers," said Aviles. "Our technologists found IDC's systems to be more user-friendly than those from the larger vendors, while IDC's affordability made the most compelling business case."
