Rural hospital purchases two IDC X-Series DR systems to treat growing

patient base

CALGARY, April 2 /CNW/ - IDC (Imaging Dynamics Company Ltd.) (TSX: IDL), the global leader in the rapidly growing market of digital radiography (DR), today announced that the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital (SPMH) in Kerrville, Texas has chosen IDC's X1590 and X2200 direct digital radiography systems for its new, expanded medical facility. After a rigorous evaluation process, the hospital chose IDC for its system reliability, image quality and processing efficiency.

SPMH is located in "the hill country," a rural area approximately 60 miles from San Antonio, TX and the hospital has been an IDC customer for more than three years.

According to Mary Thompson, Assistant Director of the Department of Radiology for SPMH, "We initially purchased IDC DR to be more productive capturing chest X-rays because the growing number of patients was overwhelming our limited staff. We quickly found that the IDC systems were so much more efficient than our computed radiography unit that we were soon bringing all types of X-ray exams to the IDC chest room."

The hospital announced its decision in 2006 to build a larger facility to address the region's growing population. At that time it began the process of evaluating radiography systems for its new medical center. According to David Leyva, San Antonio Branch Manager of IDC distribution partner Merry X-Ray Corporation, "The contract was awarded to IDC because members of staff at Sid Peterson have been extremely happy with the reliability and image quality of the IDC systems."

The new, comprehensive Peterson Regional Medical Center is due to open on April 12, 2008 on a 35-acre campus. The facility is intended to bolster the hospital's mission of providing top-quality healthcare for area residents, and provide needed flexibility to grow and adapt to new medical technologies as they develop.
