Sable intersects gold and silver mineralization

VANCOUVER, Nov. 28 /CNW/ - Sable Resources Limited (TSX.V: SAE) "Sable" is pleased to announce it has intersected gold and silver mineralization during underground development at the Company's Shasta mine. The mineralization intersected is located at the north end of the drill indicated mineralized body the Company is currently developing. Mineralization across the face of the development has an average grade of 3.7 grams per tonne gold, and 89.7 grams per tonne silver over a width of 6 metres. Assays were prepared in-house at the Company's fire assay lab located adjacent to the mill. Check assays have been sent to an independent assayer to confirm values obtained by the Company.

Company CEO Mel Rahal stated, "Our drillholes and previous experience mining the JM and D zones indicate that these mineralized bodies pinch and swell along structure, with a low grade zone encompassing a high grade center. When we mined the D zone, our initial results were very similar to those we are seeing now, and when we included the high grade material, our final grade was 0.25 oz of gold and over 15 oz of silver per ton. I am very encouraged by our initial results and am looking forward to see the results of this zone as we continue to develop it."

Underground development is currently occurring on two levels simultaneously. A decline is being developed beside the zone to provide access to the 1220 level, while a drift to explore the mineralization is proceeding on the 1233 level. The drift on the 1233 level intersected the mineralization and will now proceed to mine down the length of the zone.

Problems sourcing specialized equipment and personnel have slowed the projected development of the underground; however, recent acquisition of additional underground equipment, and outsourcing for specialized skilled labour requirements have recently increased production rates. The Company is now confident that many of the operational problems associated with start-up are now behind them.

Ore-grade material is now being stockpiled before processing at the Company's Baker mill facility begins. The Baker mill is a 250 ton per day mill, and has benefited from numerous upgrades completed by Sable over the years. Upgrades completed this year include a refurbishment of the flotation cells which should increase recoveries, as well as installation of new power generators that should increase fuel efficiency.
