TORONTO, Aug. 8 /CNW/ - Richmond Minerals Inc. (RMD-TSXV) ("Richmond" or
the "Corporation") announces that diamond drilling has commenced on its
Highway 101 property in Guibord Township near Matheson, Ontario. The
diamond-drilling program has been designed to test several geophysical
anomalies previously identified on the northern claim block. The Highway 101
property is located immediately west of the Pangea gold occurrence.
Additionally, Richmond's geophysical contractor, Fugro Airborne Surveys,
has commenced Geotem 1000 electromagnetic surveys on two of the Grenville
project land parcels in Quebec. The Geotem survey is expected to map magnetic
and electromagnetic conductive features, which may be representative of
Iron-Oxide Copper Gold targets in the Grenville geological province.
Results of these two field programs will be reported on a timely basis.
