PTBA Strengthens the Competitiveness of Its Fostered MSMEs Through Participation in INACRAFT Festival 2026Yogyakarta, July 19, 2026 - PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA), a member of MIND ID, Indonesia's State-Owned Mining Industry Holding, continues to strengthen its commitment to advancing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by expanding market access and enhancing their competitiveness. One of these efforts was realized through the Company's participation in the INACRAFT Festival 2026, held at the Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Yogyakarta, from July 15 to 19, 2026.
Carrying the theme "Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana," INACRAFT Festival 2026 served as a platform that brought together artisans, MSMEs, designers, buyers, investors, creative communities, and the public within an integrated ecosystem featuring product exhibitions, business matching, and cultural experiences.
The festival, officially opened by Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, featured PTBA's showcase of premium products from four of its fostered Rumah BUMN (State-Owned Enterprise Houses): Rumah BUMN Muara Enim, Rumah BUMN Banyuasin, Rumah BUMN Pringsewu, and Rumah BUMN Sawahlunto. PTBA's participation reflects the Company's ongoing efforts to expand marketing opportunities, strengthen product branding, broaden business networks, and open access for its fostered MSMEs to both domestic and international markets.
The exhibited products represented Indonesia's rich textile heritage and handicraft traditions, including Habar Jumputan, Zhuliansyah Songket, Mojao Art, SIBA Batik Kujur, SIBA Songket, SIBA Ecoprint, Astrina Collection, and Putra Tapis. These products highlight the richness of Indonesia's cultural heritage through a blend of traditional values, local wisdom, creativity, and innovation demonstrated by PTBA's fostered MSMEs.
PTBA Corporate Secretary Division Head Eko Prayitno stated that empowering MSMEs is an integral part of the Company's commitment to creating shared value for communities while supporting national economic growth.
"The Company not only supports the capacity building of MSMEs through continuous mentoring but also provides them with access to broader markets. Our participation in INACRAFT Festival 2026 is one of our strategic initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of our fostered MSMEs' products, enabling them to compete at both the national and global levels. We hope to see more MSMEs grow, become self-reliant, and serve as key drivers of regional economic development," Eko said.
In addition to participating in the exhibition, PTBA was also invited to contribute to one of the INACRAFT Festival 2026 Talk Show sessions. During the session titled "The Queen of Textile: Palembang Songket," Ilham, owner of Zhuliansyah Songket and one of PTBA's fostered business partners, served as a speaker, with Hesti Okta Seputri as moderator.
Through the discussion, visitors gained valuable insights into the entrepreneurial journey of Zhuliansyah Songket, the philosophy and cultural significance of Palembang Songket, the creative process behind producing high-quality traditional textiles, as well as the challenges and opportunities facing Indonesia's handicraft industry amid the evolving creative economy. The participation of PTBA's fostered partner as a speaker demonstrated the Company's tangible support in providing broader promotional opportunities, recognition, and exposure for MSMEs.
PTBA's participation in INACRAFT Festival 2026 was aimed not only at increasing sales during the exhibition but also at strategically introducing the potential of its fostered MSMEs to prospective buyers, business partners, investors, and other stakeholders. Through the event, participating MSMEs had the opportunity to strengthen their brand identity, expand their business networks, and explore collaborative opportunities that support sustainable business growth.
Through the synergy between the Company, Rumah BUMN, MSMEs, and various stakeholders, PTBA remains optimistic that its MSME empowerment initiatives will continue to generate positive impacts by enhancing business capabilities, strengthening product branding, expanding market access, and fostering an inclusive and sustainable creative economy.
Also attending the event were Muchsin Ridjan, Chairman of the Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Producers Association (ASEPHI), representatives from Dekranas and Dekranasda, the Special Region of Yogyakarta Provincial Government, representatives of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), the Yogyakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin DIY), Yogyakarta Deputy Mayor Wawan Harmawan, as well as representatives from international handicraft organizations, including AHPADA, APCA, and AGCF.
