It has been prepared by SLR Consulting Australia Pty Ltd ( SLR ), on behalf of NAC. The purpose of this Report is to make publicly available environmental monitoring reports from air, noise and vibration monitoring that has been conducted at and around the New Acland Mine in accordance with environmental authority EPML00335713 ( Environmental Authority / EA ). This Report exclusively covers the period commencing on 01 April 2025 and ending on 30 April 2025 ( Monitoring Period ). This report is intended to satisfy the requirements of Condition 3 of the Co-ordinator General's Imposed Conditions applicable to the Project.1 Overview of operations during the Monitoring Period During the Monitoring Period, mining related activities continued in Manning Vale East, Manning Vale West and Willeroo pits. The mining activities at each pit are presented in Table 1 below. ‌Table 1: Mining related activities at each pit Pit Activities Manning Vale East Vegetation clearing, topsoil removal, coal extraction, removal of overburden, progressive rehabilitation, drill and blast works. Manning Vale West Exploration drilling. Willeroo Vegetation clearing, topsoil removal, removal of overburden, drill and blast works, coal extraction. NAC operations occurred over a 24-hour period, where noise permits (i.e. actively monitoring their performance noise monitoring system) and deemed safe. The heavy vehicle workshop operates from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, with toolbox talks and general preparation occurring between 6:30 am and 7:00 am. NAC started mining coal October 2023, with capacity and output steadily increasing from this date. The Coal Handling and Preparation Plant ( CHPP ) typically operates on a 24-hour basis, outside of maintenance and shutdown events. Mobile plant that supports the CHPP include: Wheel loader and haul truck for run-of-mine ( ROM ) bin loading and rejects removal. Alternatively, only ROM coal haul trucks operating if they are directly feeding coal to the ROM bin. Qube trucks hauling export coal to Jondaryan Rail Loadout Facility ( JRLF ), wheel loader to fill Qube trucks when required. Where Qube trucks operate within NAC's mining lease, whether that be on a mine haul route or public road, noise generated from their operation is subject to the relevant time period noise level limits prescribed ‌1 As last stated in the New Acland Coal Mine Stage 3 project Coordinator-General's change report No. 4 - amendment to stated conditions following Land Court (2021) proceedings released on 26 May 2022.
