Scope Ratings assigns NBG a credit rating BBB+/Stable

Scope Ratings has assigned NBG a first time issuer credit rating of BBB+/Stable, the highest rating in the Greek banking sector, positioning the Bank one notch above the Greek sovereign. The rating reflects NBG's robust balance sheet and resilient profitability, high capital buffers, as well as a strong funding and liquidity position.

NBG's decision to engage Scope - a European ECB eligible rating agency - optimizes and diversifies its rating profile, further strengthening the Bank's positioning within the European capital markets ecosystem.
