MONTREAL and TORONTO, April 30 /CNW Telbec/ - TSX are holding a special market opening to celebrate the closing of the Montreal Exchange and the TSX Group business combination on Thursday, May 1, 2008 in the TSX Broadcast Centre. The opening is a celebration of months of hard work, the completion of a vision and the first step on the road as a successful joint company.
Media may pick up a feed from the TOC (television operations centre) for all market open ceremonies. The feed is named TSX Transmit 2 and is produced at the TSX and sent live to the TOC. The client moves into position for the market open ceremony at approximately 9:27 a.m. and the markets will open with the sound of a SIREN (the traditional market open on Toronto Stock Exchange) at 9:30 a.m.
