TORONTO, Nov. 4 /CNW/ - Luxell Technologies Inc. (TSX:LUX), a leading provider of electronic displays to the defense and aerospace industries, announced today that it received a repeat order for its 3ATI display unit from a defense industry client valued at approximately $160,000 (US).
Luxell's 3ATI unit is a rugged, high performance thin film electro luminescent (TFEL) display specifically designed to operate in the most challenging flight deck environments, including military jets as well as on rotary-wing aircrafts such as the Super Puma, Lynx and the CH-47 Chinook.
"This repeat customer order is important on many levels," said Jean-Louis Larmor, President and CEO of Luxell Inc. "It further demonstrates Luxell's product quality and technology expertise as well as validating the ongoing customer support and services components of our long-term business plan."
Delivers control displays to Japan
Luxell also announced that it has reached a payment milestone valued at approximately $200,000 US by completing the delivery of 13 control display units for use on use on the CH-47 Chinook rotary wing aircraft of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
The units, which use Luxell's TFEL technology, combine keyboard and display controls and are perfectly adapted for the harsh environment of a military helicopter. With this delivery, more than 50 of the Japan Air Self-Defence Force's fleet are equipped with Luxell's control display units.
