TORONTO, June 6 /CNW/ - Luxell Technologies Inc. (TSX:LUX) today announced the election of Anthony DeCristofaro, David Pasieka, John MacDonald, Dr. Robert Bajcar and Giulio Vitali to its board of directors at the Corporation's Annual General Meeting held in Toronto on June 4th. In addition, Christopher Carl and Max Rutherford, were newly elected.
Christopher Carl has over 20 years experience in project financing, plant construction and management with a focus on commercializing new technologies. Currently, Mr. Carl is President of Bio-Extraction Ltd. which is working with patented technology to become the world's low-cost provider of active ingredients from plant materials for use in the global pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. Prior to BioExx, Mr. Carl spent 11 years as CEO of The CanFibre Group Ltd., and successfully raised US$250 million to construct and operate two Medium Density Fibreboard facilities in North America. He also spent several years with Tenneco Inc., where he was responsible for finance and administration in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Max Rutherford brings his more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry to Luxell's Board of Directors and management. He has held CEO and senior management positions in a number of aviation companies with sales ranging from $2 million to $500 million and has been instrumental in creating profitable, high growth organizations in international markets. Mr. Rutherford is currently CEO of an Ottawa-based supplier of integrated air navigation systems and has a record of managing successful international acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
