LAGOS, SEPTEMBER 08, 2025 INTERNATIONAL ENERGY INSURANCE PLC ANNOUNCES A DELAY IN SUBMITING ITS AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2024, AND ITS UNAUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE FIRST & SECOND QUARTER OF 2025Further to the publication by International Energy Insurance Plc (the Company) on 3 July 2025 notifying NGX, esteemed Shareholders and the general public about the Company's delay in the filing of its 2024 Audited Financial Statement occasioned by the prolonged conclusion of the valuation report by the external actuaries, which is a critical component to be incorporated into the audited financial statements by the External Auditors, the Company had also sought the indulgence of the Exchange to file its 2024 Audited Financial Statements, along with all outstanding reports, on or before July 31, 2025, in anticipation that its primary regulator, the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), would have reviewed and approved the audited financial statements by that date.
We note that on the 17th of June 2025, the 2024 AFS was delivered to the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), the Company's primary regulator, for review and approval and we await a favourable response from NAICOM.
We anticipate that the Company would file all outstanding reports by October 31, 2025.
The Company regrets any inconvenience this delay might have caused our esteemed Shareholders and the General Public.
