Main Factors

Profit increased due to steady sales of construction materials, solid performance in the domestic construction sector and improved profitability

in some overseas subsidiaries.

Profit decreased due to equity in losses from SAMANCOR CHROME HOLDINGS PROPRIETARY LTD.

Profit decreased due to the deterioration in the profitability of aluminum and copper.

Profit increased due to the sales growth to food service industry in a US subsidiary and the contribution from a newly consolidated subsidiary.
