Main Factors |
Profits increased due to steady sales of construction materials, solid performance in the domestic construction sector. Sales at some overseas subsidiaries improved. |
Although the standalone results showed increased profits due to higher transaction volumes of stainless products and other items, consolidated profits declined due to equity in losses from SAMANCOR CHROME HOLDINGS PROPRIETARY LTD. Profits decreased due to a decline in market prices of aluminum and nickel. |
