Genesis Energy's 400 MW Huntly Unit 5 will be shut down from 1 October to 31 December, as gas is made available to commercial and industrial users. The arrangement takes advantage of a scheduled maintenance outage from 28 October to 24 November, and Genesis' ability to leverage the flexibility of its generation and fuels portfolios to support the wider energy system.
