Gasoline firm, Pertamina seeks prompt fuel

Asia's gasoline refining profit margin held firm above $14 per barrel over Brent crude on Friday amid strong demand from key importers like Indonesia and persisting tight supplies, traders said.In buying activity, Indonesia's Pertamina was heard to have sought up to 700,000 barrels of 90-octane grade of gasoline for delivery between December 17 to December 28 in three separate tenders, market participants said. The tenders were valid till Friday.In naphtha market, the crack was little changed at $96.70 per metric ton over Brent crude. The backwardation between second-half January and second-half February prices was unchanged at $8 a ton.INVENTORIES Gasoline stocks independently held in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub climbed by 5% to 1.132 million tons in the week to December 4, Insights Global data showed. Naphtha stocks declined to 594,000 tons in the week from 625,000 tons in the prior week, the data showed.
