Taipei, Taiwan - December 10, 2024 - Far EasTone Telecommunications (TAIEX: 4904) today announced its unaudited financial results for November 2024. Benefiting from the synergies of its merger with APT and the steady upgrade of customers to 5G services, the consolidated total revenue for November continued its 22-month streak of positive growth, with a year-over-year increase of 5.5% to NT$9,332 million. Consolidated EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) demonstrated strong double-digit growth, rising by 13.7% year-over-year from NT$2,677 million to NT$3,043 million. Net income for November reached NT$1,145 million, translating to EPS (earnings per share) of NT$0.32.
For the first 11 months of 2024, FET's consolidated total revenue, EBITDA, and net income rose by 11.3%, 12.9%, and 12.2% year-over-year, reaching NT$94,631 million, NT$33,050 million, and NT$11,502 million, respectively. These three indicators have all surpassed the full-year figures for last year (2023). The EPS for the first 11 months was NT$3.19, exceeding the full-year financial forecast of NT$3.11, with an achievement rate of 103%, showcasing impressive performance.
In November, FET's mobile business continued its steady growth, with the 5G postpaid penetration rate reaching 42.6%, and the Postpaid ARPU (average revenue per user) increasing steadily. Both metrics have shown continuous growth for eleven consecutive months since the merger with APT, maintaining the highest position in the industry. The overall mobile service revenue achieved a year-over-year growth rate of 17.4%, surpassing the NT$5.1 billion mark, setting a new record for mobile service revenue and marking 45 consecutive months of positive growth since March 2021.
