ENPAR and Societe Charentaise de Decor of Cognac, France to jointly refine AmmEL technology for glass and related industries

· Issued by Current Water Technologies Inc via CNW

TORONTO, Nov. 24 /CNW/ - Dr. Gene Shelp, President and CEO of ENPAR Technologies Inc. ("ENPAR"), is pleased to announce that ENPAR has entered into an agreement with Societe Charentaise de Decor ("SCD"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of "Groupe de La Seine" of Paris, France.

Groupe de la Seine, through its three subsidiaries SCD, Verreries de la Seine and Solvpack, conceives, develops and produces directly or indirectly a range of packaging for wine, spirits and cosmetics. SCD, which was created in 1973, has been a pioneer in "traditional glass frosting", and is one of two key French players in this industry. Effective and efficient treatment of its process effluent has always been a key management goal.

This agreement brings together SCD's business acumen and ENPAR's technical know-how to refine ENPAR's patented AmmEL technology, thereby enabling treatment of ammonia in process/waste streams within glass and related industries.

Pilot scale testing in Canada will continue until February 2009. Success at this first stage will lead to a demonstration plant at a SCD facility in France. Dr. Shelp stated, "If testing proceeds as expected, it should result in a profitable long-term business relationship with SCD".

ENPAR is a "Technology Company" applying its patented and proprietary "Electrochemical Technologies" to the treatment of waste water and drinking water contaminated by metals or nutrients i.e., nitrate/ammonia associated with the mining, metal processing, chemical, agricultural, municipal and waste management sectors. The common shares trade on Tier ll of the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol "ENP".
