ELAN 4Q24 Earnings Report

ELAN Microelectronics Corp. (code: 2458), a leading human-machine interface solution provider today announced its 4Q24 unreviewed financial results. Although benefiting from some short orders due to tariff policies, the industry is in its traditional slow season, and the impact of macroeconomic uncertainty persists, revenue declined by 10.8% QoQ to NT$3.036 billion.

4Q24 gross profit increased by 0.3 percentage point QoQ to 49.6%, reaching the high end of previous guidance, benefited from better product mix. 4Q24 OP margin was 23.8%, with operating profit decreasing by 22.1% QoQ to NT$722million and decreased 0.6% YoY. The net profit and EPS attributable to the parent company were NT$603 million and NT$2.10, respectively. The overall operational performance in 2024 was significantly higher than in 2023.

In 2024, revenue increased by 5.3% YoY to NT$12.696 billion, gross margin was 48.9%, higher than 45% in 2023, and operating profit grew by 26.0% to NT$3.066 billion. Profit before tax increased by 32.4% to NT$3.273 billion, while net income attributable to the parent company and EPS grew by 27.7% and 27.1%, respectively, reaching NT$2.736 billion and NT$9.57. Looking ahead to 1Q25, customers are pulling in orders earlier to mitigate the risks of tariff policies, resulting in better seasonality. Our outlook for 1Q25 expects sales to be around NT$3,000 - NT$3,200 million, gross margin to be around 48%-51% and operating margin to be around 21.9%-26.5%.
