ELAN 3Q24 Earnings Report

ELAN Microelectronics Corp. (code: 2458), a leading human-machine interface solution provider today announced its 3Q24 unreviewed financial results. Despite the continued impact of uncertainty in macroeconomic, revenue increased by 8.0% QoQ to NT$3.403 billion, benefiting from customer demand pull-ins and upward adjustments in short orders.

3Q24 gross profit increased by 9.7% QoQ, benefited from better product mix. 3Q24 OP margin was 27.2%, with operating profit increasing by 20.7% QoQ and decreased -0.7% YoY. The net profit and EPS attributable to the parent company were NT$712 million and NT$2.49, respectively.

The first three quarters of 2024, revenue increased by 8.0% YoY to NT$9.66 billion, gross profit rose by 18.2% to NT$4.697 billion, and operating profit grew by 37.2% to NT$2.344 billion. Profit before tax increased by 40.4% to NT$2.545 billion, while net income attributable to the parent company and EPS grew by 36.1% and 35.6%, respectively, reaching NT$2.133 billion and NT$7.47. The effects of short-term macroeconomic fluctuations remain, and demand for consumer products has entered a traditional slow season. However, the company is actively expanding in the AI PC market and exploring applications beyond NB, aiming for strong synergistic performance. Our outlook for 4Q24 expects sales to be around NT$2,800 - NT$3,100 million, gross margin to be around 47.5%-49.5% and operating margin to be around 20.4%-25%.
