· Issued by Aerius
"We are pleased with the change," said Bill Luxon, president of Aerius. "I am also pleased with the AERS symbol provided by NASDAQ's Corporate Data Operations because it better identifies our worldwide corporate mission." According to Luxon Aerius has developed a new cell phone antenna technology that increases time subscribers are able to use their new 3G phones by two hours or more by decreasing the power the phones need to transmit. "Tests by T-Mobile USA show Aerius more than doubled handset transmission efficiency," Luxon said. "I am also pleased to announce that Brian Groh has joined Aerius as a member of our Strategic Advisory Board," said Luxon. "Brian began his career in Canada as one of Bell Mobility's and Motorola's first cellular dealers that soon became one of the first Bell Cellular Mobility Centres in Canada. Other highlights of Brian's career included the founding of Telular Canada in 1986, where he negotiated exclusive distribution rights for Telular's MaxJack cellular interface for Canada, and later negotiated the acquisition of 20% of Telular USA in Chicago at a $40 million valuation. Shortly thereafter the company went public at a $400 million market cap, raising over $100 million. Brian also founded and became President and CEO of Xplore Technologies in 1996, a publicly traded company on the Toronto Exchange. Xplore became a recognized global leader in the engineering, development, integration, and marketing of ruggedized mobile wireless pen-based computing systems," Luxon added. "His experience includes successful negotiations of numerous deals with customers such as a $30 million contract with Home Depot, Cincinnati Bell and Hydro One, along with distribution agreements with Dell and HP. Brian has also negotiated over $70 million in funding and manufacturing agreements and investments with Wistron Corporation, the world's 3rd largest computer notebook manufacturer, and will assist Aerius in its negotiations with carriers, manufactures, distributors, and investors worldwide," said Luxon.
