Recently, the ground-level railway project of Shenzhen Pinghu South Integrated Logistics Hub-China's largest single-site integrated logistics hub designed and co-constructed by CRCC-was successfully completed. With a total construction area of approximately 1.11 million square meters, the project adopts a three-dimensional development model integrating rail, road, and maritime functions. It establishes a comprehensive logistics system characterized by "railways running through the lower level, smart warehousing on the upper level, and a peripheral road network encircling the complex." Upon completion, the hub is projected to handle 30 million tons of cargo by 2035, positioning it as China's largest single-site railway logistics center and Asia's largest single-site multimodal transport hub integrating road, rail, and sea transportation.

The completed ground-level rail project involves approximately 4.6 kilometers of new construction and track upgrades, serving as the core infrastructure for hub operations. The project team employed intelligent scheduling, modular construction, and AI-powered safety monitoring to efficiently complete the capacity expansion while ensuring uninterrupted operations on existing rail lines. Upon commissioning, the upgraded tracks will enable simultaneous train arrivals and departures, with an initial annual rail feeder capacity exceeding 600,000 TEUs.
Upon full completion, the Pinghu South Comprehensive Logistics Hub will handle approximately 1.4 million TEUs of sea-rail intermodal transport for Shenzhen. This will enhance regional logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and provide robust support for Shenzhen's development as a global logistics hub city.
