Notice Concerning the Impact of the Earthquake Which Struck off the coast of
Fukushima Prefecture
We would like to express our deepest condolences to all those affected by the earthquake which occurred in the Tohoku region with a Magnitude 7.3 and a maximum intensity of higher 6 during the midnight on March 16, 2022 and our wishes for the earliest possible recovery.
We would like to inform you of the confirmed status of the impact of the earthquake on Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund, Inc. ("CSIF")'s assets under management as of 11:00 a.m. on March 17, as follows
According to the report by Canadian Solar O&M Japan K.K., which is the O&M operator for the CSIF, CS Minano-machi Power Plant was temporarily affected by the power outage caused by the earthquake, but has resumed power generation after the completion of the inspection. In power generation at CS Kasama-shi Power Plant and CS Kasama-shi No.2 Power Plant was temporarily halted due to the activation of a protective relay caused by the earthquake, but has resumed power generation after the completion of inspections.
Additionally, CS Marumori-machi Power Plant continued to suspend power generation as of 11:00 a.m. today due to the activation of a protective relay, but is expected to resume power generation after the inspection is completed.
No damage to facilities or other damage has occurred at the power plants owned by CSIF as of 11:00 a.m. today, according to the confirmation.
We will continue to confirm the situation and will report again if any situation that should be notified becomes known.
CSIF will continue to monitor and review its portfolio, and additional disclosure will be made should there be any material developments.
