Boxxer's Sampling Locates Large Zone of Copper Mineralization on Rose Mine Area; Boxxer to be Featured on CEO Clips on The Biography Channel

· Issued by Exgen Resources Inc.

May 3, 2010 (Filing Services Canada) -- Boxxer Gold Corp. (BXX - TSX Venture), ("Boxxer" or the "Corporation") is pleased to provide an update on activities related to its 100% owned Boss porphyry copper project located in the Goodsprings Mining District, southwest Nevada. Based on recent sampling, a large new zone of copper-gold mineralization has been outlined around the former Rose Mine.

Highlights:
* A mineralized skarn that is a minimum of 150 m long by 120 m wide around the former Rose Mine including 1.71% copper, 0.147 g/t gold and 7.05 g/t silver over 2.58 m;
* Skarn hosted copper-silver mineralization outlined over an area that is 250 m long by 15 m vertical east of the former Columbia Copper Mine with copper values ranging from 1.88% to 3.93%;
* Staking additional 191 mineral claims; and
* An 8,000 metre diamond drilling program to test the IP targets to commence as soon as possible.

Boxxer's President and CEO, Elmer B. Stewart, explained, "The Goodsprings District is rapidly becoming an area play for porphyry copper deposits.  The recent recognition of a wide, intensely folded regional scale fault, that hosts multiple intrusives and five large mineralized skarn strongly suggests the presence of a porphyry environment.  This fault zone has been traced over a 16 kilometre length on the Boss Project. The preliminary sampling results from the Rose Mine and Columbia Mine both of which occur within this fault zone are very encouraging and support the porphyry copper-gold model being used by Boxxer to explore the Goodsprings Mining District."

Rose Mine:
Copper-gold-silver mineralization occurs over an area that is at least 150 m long by 120 m wide and has a vertical height of 50 m.  Analytical results of channel and select samples collected from small pits within the mineralized area returned the following mineralized intervals:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
SAMPLE ID         INTERVAL(m)   COPPER(%)     GOLD(g/t)    SILVER (g/t)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
RM-03&04-2010        1.80         1.32          0.180          8.30
RM-05-2010           1.45         0.29          0.021          7.40
RM-06-2010       select sample    0.14          0.012          6.60
RM-09-2010           1.00         1.91          0.028          6.70
RM-10&11-2010        2.58         1.71          0.147          7.05
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Oxide copper mineralization was observed in outcrop and as fragments in overburden within the mineralized area between the mineralized pits. The mineralized intervals are open in three directions and exhibit a strong bismuth-arsenic-cobalt-nickel-molybdenum geochemical signature.

Columbia Pass:
Two styles of copper mineralization occur in the vicinity of the former Columbia Pass copper mine. The first style of copper mineralization exhibits a strong bismuth-arsenic-cobalt-nickel geochemical signature and is exposed over a height of 15 m and a length of 250 m. The four select samples collected in this area yielded copper values that ranged from 1.88% to 3.93%, silver values that ranged from 7.5 g/t to 20.1 g/t and gold values ranging from 0.013 to 0.089 g/t. This mineralization appears to be controlled by the northwest trending Frederickson Fault and a parallel fault located approximately 450 m to the east. The second style of mineralization is controlled by a late north-south trending fault and exhibits low concentrations of copper and silver.

Land Acquisition:
Boxxer has located an additional 191 mineral claim (see news released dated April 15, 2010) in the Boss, Columbia Pass and Crystal Pass areas. Boxxer now controls approximately 12,000 acres in these three areas of the Goodsprings Mining District (see Figure - 1). These claims were acquired to obtain more ground over the regional scale faults, to protect the extension of the strong IP targets (see news release dated April 15, 2010) outlined in Boss and Crystal Pass area and cover the northwest extension the IP targets and intrusive between Columbia Pass and Crystal Pass.

Diamond Drilling Program:
Boxxer is planning to commence an 8,000 m diamond drilling program to test the IP targets set out in the news release dated April 15, 2010 as soon as possible subject to receipt of approval of the Notice of Work required by the Bureau of Land Management.

Sample Preparation and Analysis:
All select and channel samples were collected with a hammer and chisel and represents the style of copper mineralization exposed in outcrop.  Sample weights ranged from 0.2 to 3.5 kilograms. All samples were prepared by Loring Laboratories (Alberta) Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta using a 0.5 gram sample and a 3 acid total digestion. A 30 element Induced Couple Plasma ("ICP") analysis was completed on all samples. Gold, platinum and palladium values were determined using a fire assay with ICP finish on a 30 gram sample.  Copper values over 10,000 parts per million were assayed. Silver values were determined by nitric acid digestion on a 0.5 gram sample with an atomic absorption finish. Loring's quality control system complies with the requirements for the International Standards ISO 9001:2008. Analytical accuracy and precision are monitored by the use of international and in-house standards.

Quality Control:
Boxxer follows a rigorous Quality Assurance/Quality Control program consisting of inserting blanks and duplicates into the sample stream submitted to the laboratory for analysis.
