About this update from Pt Bank Mandiri (persero) Tbk
Jakarta, 14 December 2015 - Bank Mandiri continues to make the payment of BPJS Health premiums easier so that more people can be protected. To that end, the Bank has entered into a collaborative arrangement with the Alfamart retail network to provide a further option for the payment of BPJS premiums. The collaboration was officially launched by means of symbolic payments by BPJS Managing Director Fachmi Idris, Bank Mandiri Senior EVP Transaction Banking Rico Usthavia Frans, and Alfamart Director of Corporate Affairs Solihin at the Mardani Raya Alfamart store in Cempaka Putih, Jakarta, on Monday (14/12). Through this partnership, members of the public will be able to utilize all of the Alfa Group's network of 10,337 Alfamart outlets, 833 Alfamidi outlets, 35 Lawson outlets and 45 Dandan outlets to pay BPJS Health premiums. Rico said that the collaboration reflected Bank Mandiri's commitment to improving public welfare and the Bank's spirit of 'Being a friend to the nation.' 'We hope that this expansion of access will further facilitate the public in paying BPJS Health premiums. In this way, we hope to contribute to the development of a social security system that covers all levels of Indonesian society,' said Rico. The collaboration with the Alfa Group is part of Bank Mandiri's program to facilitate the payment of BPJS premiums through Online Bank Payment Points (PPOB) in modern retail outlets. Previously, Bank Mandiri installed more than 2,700 checkout PPOB in warung, and mum-and-pop and cooperative stores around Indonesia. Over time, this figure will be gradually increased to 6,000 checkout PPOB. Currently, people can avail of Bank Mandiri's branch and electronic networks to pay their BPJS Health premiums, including Mandiri ATMs, Internet Banking, SMS Banking, Mobile Banking and Mandiri Cash Management and Auto-Debit. 'In the past year, the frequency of BPJS Health premium payment transactions conducted through Bank Mandiri averaged more than 600 thousand per month. This year, we expect that to increase to an average of more than 1.6 million transactions per month,' said Rico.
