Peak Processing Plant Upgrade Milestone Achieved with Tailings Thickener Commissioned On 9 June 2026, Aurelia announced it had reached an important milestone in its upgrade of the Peak Processing Plant, successfully completing the construction and commissioning of a new tailings thickener. The 22-metre tailings thickener is now operational and is expected to deliver a range of operational benefits, including improved water management, enable enhanced metal recoveries, reduce cyanide reagent consumption and more effective tailings deposition. The commissioning marks another key step in delivering expanded processing capacity at the Peak Operation. The construction of the Tertiary Ball Mill Project remains on schedule, with commissioning expected in the first quarter of FY27. Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Bryan Quinn said the completion of the tailings thickener is integral to supporting the Company's future growth. "This marks an important step in our strategy to increase processing capacity from 0.8Mtpa to 1.1-1.2Mtpa. Improved recoveries, lower processing costs and increased plant throughput also supports a more efficient operation at higher volumes. "With continued momentum in mining driving increased levels across our ROM stockpiles, we are well positioned to use this expanded processing capacity in early FY27 as we progress towards our targeted 40kt of copper equivalent production in FY28," Bryan said.
