TORONTO, July 4, 2011 /CNW/ - Augen Capital Corp. ("Augen" or "the Company") (TSXV: AUG) reminds its shareholders of its upcoming annual and special meeting of shareholders scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 7, 2011 (the "Meeting"). As a result of the recent Canadian postal strike, there may have been a delay in shareholders receiving the notice of meeting, management information circular (the "Circular") and proxy (collectively, the "Meeting Materials") in connection with the Meeting. Copies of the Meeting Materials are available under Augen's profile on SEDAR at www.sedar.com.
In light of this potential delay, Augen has extended the cut-off time for submission of proxies to Computershare Investor Services Inc., Augen's transfer agent, to 2:00 p.m. (Toronto time) on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 and provides the following additional voting instructions to shareholders in order to assist them in ensuring their votes are counted at the Meeting.
Registered Shareholders
You are a registered shareholder if your common shares of Augen ("Augen Shares") are registered in your name.
If you have not yet received the Meeting Materials, you can print the blank form of proxy available under Augen's SEDAR profile. As this form of proxy will not be personalized for each shareholder, registered shareholders must clearly print such person's name exactly as it appears on the share certificate representing their Augen Shares, indicate the number of Augen Shares held and then sign and date the form of proxy and either (i) send a copy via email to the following address: judy.belanger@computershare.com; or (ii) fax it to Computershare Trust Company of Canada, Attention: Proxy Department at 1-866-249-7775.
If you have already received the Meeting Materials, you can complete the form of proxy and submit it in accordance with the instructions thereon, or, alternatively, send a copy of the completed proxy via email to the following address: judy.belanger@computershare.com.
Non-Registered (Beneficial) Shareholders
You are a beneficial shareholder if your Augen Shares are held on your behalf by, and registered in the name of, a broker, securities dealer, financial institution, or other intermediary (referred to as "Intermediaries").
Each Intermediary has its own form of proxy return instructions. If you have not yet received these instructions, Beneficial shareholders should contact the Intermediary that holds their Augen Shares as soon as possible. If you have received these instructions, you should complete the proxy return process as soon as possible so that your Intermediary can submit their form of proxy prior to the extended proxy cut-off time.
