Advanced Powerline Technologies, Inc., Today Announces Preliminary Negotiations To Retire Company Debt And Also Announces Existing Company Policy Regarding Spam Email Stock Promotions.
WOODWARD, OK -- (PINKSHEETS) - June 19, 2006 -- Advanced Powerline Technologies, Inc., (Pink Sheets: APWL - News) announces today preliminary negotiations with a creditor to retire company debt and also, in an unrelated matter, announces existing company policy regarding spam email stock promotions.
Advanced Powerline Technologies, Inc. (APT), reports today that it is in preliminary negotiations with a major creditor to retire a portion of existing company debt by issuing stock in payment of the debt. The stock will be offered at a share value substantially higher than the current value of shares in the open market, and while no agreements have yet been formalized, initial reaction to our proposals have been positive. We believe that such a transaction would be a great benefit to the company and its shareholders, and we look forward to strengthening the company's financial position with strategic agreements like this as well as with increasing sales growth as we look to build on an anticipated record second quarter.
Also, in an unrelated matter, the company has received reports that APT has been the subject of spam emails regarding company stock. In light of these reports, the company wishes to publicly state its existing policy regarding spam email and fax blast stock promotions. This is not a new policy, nor is it a change to the way this company has ever done business. Our policy is being stated to answer questions about the company's involvement in any such promotions.
Advanced Powerline Technologies, Inc. has not ever in the past and does not now have any stock promoters hired. We do not hire those firms or anyone who works for them. We only disseminate news relative to our company over the news wires used by all companies. To our knowledge no e-mails or news letters of any kind have ever come from the company or been sent from anyone else on behalf of the company. We cannot control what others choose to do or say about the company. We regret that people have been annoyed by these promoters, but we have nothing to do with them. They have probably bought stock in the company on the open market and are now trying to promote their stock to sell at a profit or reduce their losses, no different than the TV stock promoters that have regular programs on the television channels.
APT would also like to point out that it does not profit or benefit in any way from the stock that trades in the market. None of the proceeds from any of those stock transactions come to the company. It simply goes to the person who is selling the stock. The company benefits in no way. We suggest that anyone targeted by such promoters try to contact the true sender and have them remove you from their list.
