Advanced Powerline Technologies, Inc., Today Announces A Brief Vision Of The Company's Direction.
WOODWARD, OK -- (PINKSHEETS) - June 22, 2006 -- Advanced Powerline Technologies, Inc., (Pink Sheets: APWL - News) announces today a statement of a brief vision of the company's direction.
Advanced Powerline Technologies, Inc., (APT) today issues a statement that describes a brief view of the company's currently intended direction. While plans may change as opportunities arise, as market conditions shift, or for a number of other reasons, the company felt that it was important to offer an overview of APT and our current plans.
Advanced Powerline Technologies, Inc., believes we are poised on the forefront of a new wave of technology that will have applications from home electronics to Homeland Security. APT's principal business focus is to create and develop Broadband over Power Line (BPL) and Power Line Communications (PLC) friendly devices, products, and services. Power lines run to practically every building and within each building, usually to many points in each room. PLC allows devices to communicate over the existing power lines, while BPL uses power lines as a broadband internet connection. APT realized quickly that the TV/monitor was a key component in any PLC system. As a result, the company secured as a supplier one of the largest manufacturers of top quality LCD panels in the world, and is preparing to manufacture High Definition flat-panel LCD televisions and other products in our facility in Woodward, Oklahoma. Upon the completion of research, development, and the verification of test results of the company's BPL and PLC devices, the Company intends to utilize the technology within the existing product platforms to enhance their capabilities. APT's main products will become BPL and PLC friendly devices with the company's related hardware and system service.
The first product lines that APT plans to produce are flat-panel LCD televisions with High Definition tuners (HDTV). It has been a long time since televisions were produced in the United States, and conventional wisdom said they would never be made here again. APT has developed a business model that will challenge that bit of conventional wisdom. Key to this business model is the concept of InsourcingTM. Everyone knows that outsourcing means moving parts of your business to other companies, often in other parts of the world. InsourcingTM means moving business from other places into APT. It means bringing high-quality electronics production jobs back to the United States. APT has been working for almost two years to put all the pieces together. While the company prepares to do manufacturing, it is importing televisions assembled overseas. When it is ready, APT plans to bring the assembly operation to its facility in Woodward, Oklahoma. This has only been made possible by the invaluable help and support of the Woodward Industrial Foundation, the Oklahoma State Government, and the United States Federal Government. We are confident that InsourcingTM will create a win-win-win situation. We believe our employees will get high quality electronics production jobs, our shareholders will get a good return on their investment from a profitable company, and most of all, our customers will get top-quality products, made in America.
The company would like to remind everyone that time is running out to register for a chance to win one of the company's state-of-the-art thirty two (32) inch LCD monitors with high definition tuner (HDTV) and PLC InsideTM, the winner to be announced Saturday August 5th, 2006.
