He's a very intelligent [00:21] Speaker 1: individual who has lots of stories, lots of experiences, [00:25] Speaker 1: and a track record of success. He's a CEO of Metal Energy, has traded as MERG on the TSX Venture. He's also CEO of Baseload Energy, traded as FIND, [00:35] Speaker 1: FIND, on the TSX Venture. So Jay, if I can jump right into it, thanks a lot for jumping on the summit. [00:41] Speaker 2: Oh, pleasure. Always a pleasure to talk with you, Tony, and thank you very much for the intro. [00:45] Speaker 1: So I'm gonna jump at the very beginning. You went to Waterloo, took a science degree, then you went to Dow, jumped into geology, [00:53] Speaker 1: another two-year program. Why did you go from science to geology and what brought you into this career path? [00:59] Speaker 2: Funny enough, I didn't even know geology in high school, so when it was time to go to university, I put the 2 things that I loved out of high school, and that was [01:06] Speaker 2: biology and chemistry. So I went into biochemistry, found out I didn't like it, flunked out my 1st year, [01:12] Speaker 2: floated around in Waterloo and discovered geology there. The professor was passionate, got me hooked. It was a combination of all the sciences, which I love. [01:22] Speaker 2: Graduated out of there with just the BSc and figured, hey, I got to do something with my life. [01:27] Speaker 2: That's when I decided to go to DALF for geology.
