Founder of Wheaton River Minerals (CEO from 1990-2002) which built in 1996 Canada’s first and only successful gold heap leach mine (Golden Bear). Merged with Goldcorp in 2005.
Speaker 1: Hello everyone and welcome to Moon River Capital's live inaugural event hosted by 6. I'm pleased to introduce the speaker for today, Chairman Ian MacDonald. Speaker 1: Ian will go through their corporate presentation and afterwards we'll be answering questions. Speaker 2: Thanks very much, Kyle, and Speaker 2: good day to everyone who's tuning in. It's my pleasure. Speaker 2: To give you an introduction into Moon River Capital Speaker 2: and its Davidson project. We are a new company. I'm not going to spend any time on the disclaimer, Speaker 2: but Speaker 2: here's the 1st slide. Speaker 2: And what that does, it shows where some of the molybdenum deposits Speaker 2: and by-product mines that produce molybdenum Speaker 2: are in North America. Speaker 2: That is not Speaker 2: an exhaustive list. There are actually more than 60 Speaker 2: drilled-off Speaker 2: showings of molybdenum in British Columbia, for example. Speaker 2: And I'll just touch on a couple of those sites, because Speaker 2: the Davidson deposit, which is just outside of Smithers, Speaker 2: D.C., Speaker 2: it is a very large, high-grade, in fact, it's the largest molybdenum deposit in Canada. It's the highest-grade deposit anywhere, Speaker 2: even though we're only allowed to say the highest grade outside of China.
