Brett is a high-energy, entrepreneurial natural resources executive with over 34 years of expertise in mining and metals. He has a unique background in mining M&A, mine financing, mine development, and senior level operations experience. He brings publicly listed CEO experience in the mining sector, as well global operational experience – with a geographic focus in the last 15 years in Africa. In the past 35 years of his career in mining and metals, Brett has lived in Canada, United States, England, Chile, Brazil, Russia and in 4 African counties. Brett is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Goldshore Resources (TSXV:GSHR). Previously, Brett has held leadership positions for both listed and private mining / natural resources companies. He has held positions for private equity shareholders in the past including: Chairman and CEO, Banro Corporation Ltd., CEO of Midnight Sun Mining, Chairman and CEO, African Thunder Platinum; CEO Renew Resources; and CEO, BSG Resources and CEO Octéa Limited. With respect to publicly listed companies, Brett was formerly the transition CEO of Roxgold (TSX:ROG) through a successful shareholder proxy battle; was CEO of Avocet Mining plc (LSE & AIM), and was part of the five (5) person start-up of Katanga Mining Limited (TSX:KAT). Brett’s other publicly listed experience was in senior executive positions with Kinross Gold (TSX:K) and Co-Steel Inc. (TSX:CEI). Brett has significant public Board and Board Committee experience both in Canada, United Kingdom, Norway, Frankfurt and Johannesburg. Brett is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors in London; a member of Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technologists and (O.A.C.E.T.T. - Mechanical Engineering); a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (P.D.A.C), and has been published in the field of strategic mine management. Brett is a graduate of Durham College – Mechanical Engineering, Production Management and is a graduate in Management Engineering of Cornell University – Johnson School of Business, Masters of Business Administration - Magna Cum Laude. He is currently the principal of Richards Enterprises Inc. (CI).

Mr. Skanderbeg was most recently President and CEO of Claude Resources Inc. since November 2014 – which was acquired by Silver Standard Resources Inc. for $337 million. He previously worked for Goldcorp, Inco Ltd. and Helio Resources, holding positions in both exploration and operations. Mr. Skanderbeg is also a director of Wesdome Mines. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Manitoba and an M.Sc. from Rhodes University, South Africa. He brings extensive experience in the exploration and evaluation of gold systems, operational management, cost and asset optimization and strategic analysis.

Speaker 1: Well, hello everyone. Good morning and thank you so much for being part of our Speaker 1: webinar this morning. It's a fun 1 for myself, I think, and for the gentlemen who are joining me today because we are all long-time investors Speaker 1: in the mining space. We also work in the mining space. I work in the space as an investor. These gentlemen all work in the space as management of various mining exploration companies. Speaker 1: But those of us who are here, we invest as well. Speaker 1: And so the concept of talking about how 1 does that, how to start investing in the mining space, it's a topic that's near and dear to all of us. So Speaker 1: I'm going to give a short presentation, Speaker 1: just a little talk that introduces some of these ideas, and then I will bring the Speaker 1: panelists on board with us Speaker 1: to answer some questions. This is something that I will chat with the guys about after but this is my answer to the question that I will ask them and I think there's sort of a background and then a forward-looking part of Speaker 1: why it's a great moment.
