NVLH has a very low trade volume. What is being done to increase interest by the market?
Dear Jeff and Stephen.. I heard that illite at Bonnie Claire contains some 2% lithium, a content almost like the mineral petalite.. It is hard to believe that a common illite contains such an amount of lithium. You may have a new mineral, but the XRD pattern you have in the press release is a pure illite, without any change in its d-spacing. I see ni the other Li bearing clay successions in the western USA and in Western Anatolia Turkey all authors avoid to declare that Li is in the lattice of a specific mineral but they prefer to say: Li in illite-rich claystone.. so they avoid to define the exact mineral which hosts lithium.. In addition, in the McDermitt deposits, Li is in smectite and smectite-illite-rich successions.. in my opinion, the Li hosting minerals are several and authigenic in origin, but the substitution of any element has limits.. in Bonnie Claire, which element is substituted by lithium? The clay and tuffaceous deposits of Samos Island we are now working wirth, have almost equal Li enrichment in clay minerals rich but in zeolite (chabazite)-rich samples, reaching ~ 800ppm Li. Looking forward to your thoughts and ideas.
