Denis Miville-Deschênes has been President and CEO of the Company since February 2017. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President at IAMGOLD, responsible for project development and construction from 2006 to 2014. He is a mining engineer with over 30 years of experience in the design, development and construction of mines. Mr. Miville-Deschênes has a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from Laval University in Quebec.

Speaker 2: Maybe starting with me, Speaker 2: I've joined Highland in 2017. Speaker 2: It's been 5 years already, Speaker 2: preparing that package and getting those projects ready. Speaker 2: I'm a mining engineer by trade. Speaker 2: I had a chance in my career to work underground mine open pits, Speaker 2: develop projects in South America, North America, Speaker 2: Africa. Speaker 2: So I really enjoyed that ride as usually I was coming in for feasibility studies, Speaker 2: heading down for construction Speaker 2: and staying with operation Speaker 2: for a year or a year and a half, Speaker 2: just long enough to understand the good moves and bad moves done at design Speaker 2: to the feasibility study and move on to the next project.
