His work has focused on mineral project evaluation, M&A and business development strategies supporting corporate growth. Mr. Ramshaw previously worked as a mining analyst for an independent brokerage firm in London, UK and has served in various executive capacities for a number of publicly listed junior resource companies. He sits on the board of Great Bear Resources. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Geology from the Royal School of Mines.

Mr. Downey has over 30 years of international experience in the resource industry. Mr. Downey held the position of President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Elgin Mining Inc., Aura Minerals Inc. and previously Viceroy Exploration Ltd. before its acquisition by Yamana Gold Inc. in 2006. He has held numerous senior engineering positions at several large-scale global gold mining operations and has also held operating positions at several mining projects for Anglo American Corporation in South Africa. Mr. Downey was a member of the boards of Claude Resources and Dalradian Resources before their recent successful acquisitions and he is a member of the board of a number of active resource companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hon.) degree in Engineering from Queen’s University.

I'm Gwen Preston of Resource Maven, and I'm very happy to be here today Speaker 1: Hosting this panel from 1st to last pour the life cycle of gold producers Speaker 1: Certainly, we'll be focusing a bit more on the on the 1st half of that sort of getting assets from oh We have a deposit through to how do we actually build this thing and then all of the pitfalls Speaker 1: that belie Speaker 1: such Speaker 1: challenges Speaker 1: along the way and there are a lot and we've actually had some Speaker 1: Unfortunate examples in the market in the last little while of some of those pitfalls So I'm very excited to have this group of gentlemen here with me who Speaker 1: have a lot of experience building mines, are in the process of building mines, and or commissioning mines, or have newly operating mines. So lots of experience around this Speaker 1: right at hand.
