How are you this morning, Ian? I am very well, Romeo. Thanks for having me. Yeah, great. [00:17] Speaker 1: So I'd love just to get started, if you could tell us a bit about your background. Curious. I love to ask people in the space. This was a career in mining always in the cards for you, or did it just sort of happen? [00:27] Speaker 2: Well, I guess it sort of was. I mean, I was born in the bush in Zimbabwe. [00:33] Speaker 2: My father was [00:34] Speaker 2: a geologist with [00:36] Speaker 2: the Rhodesian Geological [00:38] Speaker 2: Survey. [00:39] Speaker 2: For 6-months of the year, [00:41] Speaker 2: I lived in a caravan with my parents, my older brother and my older sister, a 14-foot caravan, [00:48] Speaker 2: and saying that this caravan was set up wherever my dad was assigned to map for the survey [00:55] Speaker 2: that season. So [00:56] Speaker 2: I was introduced to rocks and bush life literally [01:00] Speaker 2: since day 1. [01:01] Speaker 2: And on top of that, my mother was a cartographer [01:04] Speaker 2: or a mapmaker, [01:05] Speaker 2: you know, before [01:06] Speaker 2: moving out to Rhodesia with my father, worked at the Royal Geographical Society in London with many of the world's sort of top explorers and mountaineers at that time, including Stradburn Hillary, Vivian Foulkes, and Canada's [01:19] Speaker 2: Fred Roots, who did a lot of work in Antarctica [01:22] Speaker 2: and the Arctic.
