Mr. Bliss has over 20 years experience in the mineral exploration industry having studied geology at the University of New Brunswick.
From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Bliss was an independent consulting geologist responsible for exploration projects for Nuna-Minerals A/S, in Nuuk, Greenland and, in 2000, for Crew Development in Norway. In Greenland, he worked in some of the most remote and rugged terrain using a model driven approach to efficiently explore large tracts of land despite short explorations seasons.
Mr. Bliss implemented a similar approach at Northern Shield to generate nickel projects that subsequently resulted in partnerships and investments with major mining companies including Impala, South 32, Teck. It was under his guidance that Northern Shield became known around the world as a leader in grass roots exploration for Nickel, Copper and the Platinum Group Elements. It was his understanding of exploration models that led to Northern Shield acquiring a unique epithermal gold project here in the Burin Peninsula they call Root & Cellar.
Mr. Bliss has served as President of Northern Shield since its inception in 1999.

Speaker 1: You've just announced a significant expansion from 32 square kilometers Speaker 1: to 420 Speaker 1: square kilometers. Can you walk us through what drove that decision? What are you seeing on the ground at Root & Cellar that gave you the confidence to move this aggressively? Speaker 1: What do you believe this land package could ultimately Speaker 1: become? Speaker 2: There are several reasons for this jump. 1st of all, things have been progressing very well at Root & Cellar, particularly Speaker 2: since we started focusing a little bit more on the Creston Copper target Speaker 2: in the middle of last summer. Speaker 2: Obviously, we've been focusing mostly on the Gold, but we've always planned to bring the Copper porphyry idea up to speed Speaker 2: and say that's paying dividends because we're seeing more and more mineralization Speaker 2: as those cores have been expanded and more and more information is coming our way. Speaker 2: Recently, as I said, we've probably pressed these beginning of February, sort of finding some Lead-Zinc mineralization.
