Mr. Iwanaka is a founding member of the BeMetals executive management team. He has over 18 years of investor relations and corporate development experience in the mining industry. Over the course of his career, he has been involved with over 20 mergers, acquisitions and property divestures, and he has played key roles in raising over US$100 million through various equity financings, including one of the first at-the-market (“ATMâ€) financings by a Canadian brokerage firm. Prior to joining BeMetals, Mr. Iwanaka oversaw the marketing programs for a number of mining companies traded in Canada, USA, Germany and the UK.

Speaker 1: We're joined today by Derek Iwanaka, the Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development at B Metals, who is joining us live from Cape Town. Speaker 2: I wish I had brought some better equipment with me, but anyways, Speaker 2: this is Speaker 2: a 1st in our series We're gonna try to broadcast a little update from every city Speaker 2: basically, I was in talks with Speaker 2: Maxim at 6 and told him that I was going on a road show hitting up Cape Town, Speaker 2: Frankfurt, Speaker 2: Zurich, Speaker 2: London, and potentially Geneva, and it looks like we are gonna do Geneva. Speaker 2: And he said, well, Speaker 2: why don't you try actually doing like a vlog Speaker 2: and report from Speaker 2: each city that you're going to. Maybe investors might be interested in that. Speaker 2: So I said, okay, let's just give it a shot. So that's basically the premise as to why we're trying this. Speaker 2: I wanted to give Speaker 2: investors a glimpse into Speaker 2: what we do on the road. Speaker 2: And so Speaker 2: here I am actually, I'm in the one-to-one Speaker 2: mining investment conference here in Cape Town.
