Reference: Results for the Previous Fiscal Year
Domestic retail sales were 99.2% of those for the same period of the previous year, while-2storesales were 95.6% and e-commerce±0saleswere 114.3%. Same-storesales were 96.5% of the same month last year, and the number of holidays decreased by two, which is estimated to have caused a negative impact of about 4.3%. While the number of holidays varied significantly, with an increase of two days in June and a decrease of two in July, cumulative same-storesales for these two months were 103.2% of the same period last year.
In the store sales channel, the continued high summer temperatures from the start of the month, combined with the special seasonal sales, further advanced the clearance of summer items. From the middle of the month, the introduction of products featuring summer materials in autumn colors enhanced the freshness of the stores, leading regular sales to drive overall sales growth. In the e-commercechannel, the average sale per customer on the company's site, World Online Store, increased significantly by double digits due to a rise in customers purchasing multiple items at once. Moreover, the online store enjoyed favorable regular sales because of a strong influx of customers using its membership app. On external e-commercesites, participation in large-scalepromotional events also led to successful sales.
As for product categories, shirts and blouses continued to be strong, and there was a shift in sales to short sleeves earlier than in the previous year, while high-pricedresses were notably popular at bargain sales. In terms of miscellaneous goods, cooling items for hot weather, such as handy fans, sold well. In terms of brands, apparel brands such as OPAQUE.CLIP, DRESSTERIOR, and Dessin continued to grow their sales, and the jewelry brand COCOSHNIK and the used select store RAGTAG continued to perform well, strongly supported by robust inbound demand.

Note: As a general rule, the sales summary is disclosed on the third business day of the month following the reporting month and includes preliminary data. Should final data differ from any preliminary data, the revised figures will be disclosed when the preliminary data for the subsequent month are announced.

*1 Figures are for domestic retail sales only and do not include domestic wholesale or event sales figures or overseas sales.

*2 Figures for store sales and number of stores include directly managed stores and VSPA (Virtual SPA), but they do not include figures for FC (Franchise) stores or overseas stores.

*3 Same stores are defined as stores that were opened or newly consolidated (joined the Group) more than 12 months prior to the report and were unchanged from the previous month in terms of retail floor size, which changes the number of same stores on a monthly basis. Therefore, stores that have been relocated or closed for more than a day due to renovations have been excluded from the results of same stores. Same stores, which are closed or operating with reduced hours under the state of emergency, remain included. Additionally, online sales are not included in Same-Store Sales.

*4 Online Sales figures represent total sales by World Group brand companies through their own and other companies' websites.

*5 For June 2024, Store Sales was revised from 108.9% to 109.0%, Same-Store Sales from 110.6% to 111.0%, and Online Sales from 109.1% to 109.0%, all indicated with an underline.
