TORONTO, Nov. 17 /CNW/ - COGITORE Resources, a division of Woodruff Capital Management Inc. (the "Company") (WOO: TSX-V) is pleased to provide an update on the Lemoine project, located near Chibougamau, Quebec. The Company has completed a drill program consisting of 9 holes totalling 6,531 metres. The holes were widely spaced over a 14 km strike length of interpreted Lemoine mine stratigraphy. The highlight of the program was the discovery of a new mineralized zone in drill hole LEM-47 which intersected a 95 metre zone of disseminated and stringer sulphides with partial assays returning 1.77% zinc and 0.18% copper over 9.0 meters, including 3.20% zinc and 0.31% copper over 3.0 metres at a mean vertical depth of 300 metres. Another interval located 10 metres below the upper zone returned 2.31% copper over 1.1 metres. The mineralized intervals have since been bracketed with more sampling. "These results represent a significant accumulation of base metal sulphides" says Woodruff President GDerald Riverin, Ph.D., P.Geo., "which occur within a 95 metre long intersection of intensely altered (chlorite) high temperature rhyolites". The altered and mineralized zone, which is typical of feeder zones underlying volcanogenic massive sulphides, is a 'blind' discovery, meaning there are no surface exposures, geophysical anomaly or shallow drill-hole intercepts to indicate the zone's presence at depth. The Company plans to undertake state-of the-art down-hole geophysical surveys in drill hole LEM-47 searching for greater concentrations of copper, zinc and precious metal bearing sulphides within 100-150 metres of the hole. Additional assays from the 95 metre interval and other holes at Lemoine are pending. Hole LEM-47 was drilled approximately three kilometres southwest of the Lemoine Mine, which hosted 758,000 tonnes of 4.2% copper, 9.6% zinc 4.2g/t gold and 83.4 g/t silver. The other 8 holes of the program consisted of 6 holes (including one deepening) spaced about 1 km apart and targeting the Lemoine mine horizon from 4.6 km to 10 km east of the mine, and 2 holes drilled respectively 1.1 km and 4 km west of the mine (with LEM-47 in between). A 250 metre envelope of stringer sulphides, including some zinc and copper sulphides, was intersected in hole LEM-49 located 4.6 km east of the mine; assays are pending. The deepening of LEM-36 also hit disseminated sulphides over 30 metres (assays pending) while the other 4 holes in the east sector only intersected traces of sulphides. In the west sector of the mine, hole LEM-48, drilled 1.6 Km west of LEM-47, was strongly altered (sericite- chlorite) from top to bottom (919m) but only carried traces of sulphides. Finally, hole LEM-46, drilled 1.1 km west of the mine and 1.3 km east of LEM-47 intersected traces of sphalerite at the Lemoine mine horizon with weak alteration. The Company will provide a further update once all the assay results have been received. Subject to certain earn in provisions Woodruff controls all 17 kilometres of the favourable Lemoine horizon and recently acquired a 100% interest in all 18 kilometres of the folded equivalent of the Lemoine stratigraphy known as the Scott Lake horizon, located 20 km west of Chibougamau. As recently announced, the Woodruff-Inmet Mining joint venture has now earned an undivided 60% interest in the Lemoine property. Woodruff expects to complete its earn in of 50% of the Inmet interest in 2006. COGITORE geologists GDerald Riverin, Tony Brisson and Benoit Lafrance are all qualified persons under the terms of NI43-101. Core is logged and sections sent for analysis are sawn in half at the Company's secure facilities in Chibougamau, Quebec. Half the core sampled is sent to ALS Chemex for analysis with appropriate standards, duplicates and replicates used for control purposes. The other half of the core is retained for future reference. Woodruff Capital Management Inc. is a TSX Venture Exchange listed mineral exploration company, focused on base metal exploration within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt of northwestern Quebec and northeastern Ontario. COGITORE Resources, a division of the Company, retains the exploration office in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, and database of Kerr Addison, Inmet Mining and predecessor companies Minnova, Corporation Falconbridge Copper, Lac Dufault and Opemiska. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The TSX Venture Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- %SEDAR: 00020132E
