- In terms of item 14 - Appendix 8A of Section 08 – Corporate Disclosure of the Colombo Stock Exchange Rules and based on the Company’s Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st March 2020, we write to advice that the Company has issued a Corporate Guarantee on 07th June 2021 for Rs. 1,000,000,000/- on behalf of its Sub-Subsidiary Company, Galle Face Properties Limited as a security for banking facilities obtained by the said Galle Face Properties Limited.
- DISCLOSURE In terms of Section 8 of the Listing Rules we write to inform that Shaw Wallace & Hedges Limited and Shaw Wallace Investments PLC, which are subsidiaries of the Company, has acquired shares of Guardian Capital Partners PLC as follows: 8,700,000 shares have been purchased by Shaw Wallace & Hedges Limited at a price of Rs. 32.30/- per share for a total consideration of Rs. 283.24 Million. The shares acquired represent 33.67% of the issued shares of Guardian Capital Partners PLC. 7,742,800 shares have been acquired by Shaw Wallace Investments PLC at a price of Rs. 32.30/- per share for a total consideration of Rs. 252.13 Million. The shares acquired represents 29.97% of the issued shares of Guardian Capital Partners PLC. Effective date of transaction is 28th October 2021.
