Montreal, Quebec - May 3, 2013: Aurvista Gold Corporation ("Aurvista" or the "Company") (TSX-V: AVA) is pleased to report the completion of the first two stages of the 2013 diamond drill program totaling 11,046 meters in 31 drill holes at the Company's Douay Gold Project in northern Quebec in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt.
Key highlights of the South Porphyry drilling include:
-Two new gold zones were discovered within the South Porphyry, which extends 1.5 kilometers south of the Main Porphyry:
-The first zone was encountered in two drill holes: DO-13-120 yielded 0.38 g/t gold over 98.0 meters (including 8.56 g/t over 1.5 meters); DO-13-122 intersected 1.10 g/t gold over 28.5 meters (including 17.45 g/t gold over 1.5 meters); and
-The second zone, located 50 meters south of the first zone, yielded 5.07 g/t gold over 4.5 meters in DO-13-122.
-The "20" Zone, an eastern extension of the South Porphyry, was extended 400 meters further to the east. Two diamond drill holes intersected this eastern extension: DO-13-110 intersected 0.34 g/t gold over 110.0 meters, including an enriched interval of 0.78 g/t gold over 23.0 meters; DO-13-112 intersected 0.27 g/t Au over 102.5 meters.
Phase 1 of the drilling consisted of 15 drill holes totaling 5,319 meters and tested the underexplored South Porphyry, including the eastern extension of the "20" zone into the South Porphyry. Phase 2 contained 9 drill holes totaling 2,697 meters which tested the eastern and western extension of the Main Porphyry outside the porphyry limits. Phase 2 also consisted of 7 drill holes totaling 3,033 meters and concentrated on in-fill drilling the central portion of the Main Porphyry. To date, the Company has received full assay results for the South Porphyry's 15 drill holes.

Our 2013 exploration program continues to prove up our belief that the Douay Project is a large low grade envelope containing high grade sections. Drilling has shown a dissemination and gold vein potential inside the 1.5 kilometer long South Porphyry ,which is an extension of the Main Porphyry, including cross cut gold-bearing structures such as the "20" Zone. We await assay results from the Main Porphyry extensional and in-fill drilling. All of the targets present a great opportunity to not only increase the total bulk tonnage of the Douay Project through exploratory drilling but also to potentially increase the average grades of the resource. The Company believes that an increase of the average grade of the resource will potentially increase the flexibility in developing this project and will increase the economic viability of the project, no matter what form it takes".
The 2013 Diamond Drilling Program - delineating the full Gold potential of the Douay Gold Project
The proposed 2013 drill program will focus on three of the Company's five major targets, which include further exploration of the "South Porphyry", in-fill drilling of the "Main Porphyry", and delineation drilling of the "North West" zone. The "Pull Apart" and the "Douay West Zone" will be tested in later programs. The proposed 2013 drill program will consist of three phases:

(1)Phase 1, which is now completed, consisted of 15 diamond drill holes totaling 5,319 meters on the "South Porphyry", drilled at 200 meter centers in a double fence pattern with the fences being 400 meters apart. The "South Porphyry" is contiguous across approximately 2 kilometers in length and approximately 1 kilometer in width, and is located directly south of the east-west "Main Porphyry" target.

(2)Phase 2, also completed, consisted of 16 infill and east-west extension holes for 5,730 meters on the "Main Porphyry";

(3)Phase 3 is subject to financing and is expected to consist of an additional 25,000 meters in additional infill drilling and testing of the "North West Zone". The "North-West Zone" is approximately 1 kilometer N-NW of the "Douay West Zone" and approximately 500 meters NW of the "Main Porphyry". This area is seen by Aurvista as being a relatively small target but has good potential, as it is an area which can add higher grade lenses thus potentially improving both resources and grade.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Aurvista implements an analytical Quality Assurance and Quality Control program to control the analytical quality of assays in its exploration work. This program includes the systematic addition of blank samples and certified standards to each batch of samples sent for analysis at commercial laboratories. Blank samples are used to check for possible contamination in laboratories while certified standards determine the analytical accuracy and precision. Samples have been assayed at the Laboratoire Expert Inc. in Rouyn-Noranda and at ALS Chemex Inc. in Val-d'Or. Samples are assayed by fire-assay (30 grams) followed by atomic absorption according to industry standards. Repeats are completed by fire-assay followed by gravimetry on selected samples.
