TransForce Income Fund Completes Acquisition of Thibodeau Group of Companies

MONTREAL, Jan. 15 /CNW Telbec/ - TransForce Income Fund (TSX: TIF.UN), the leader in the Canadian transportation and logistics industry, today announced it has completed the previously announced acquisition of privately held Thibodeau Group of Companies.

Thibodeau is a less-than-truckload and truckload carrier that is headquartered in Portneuf, Quebec and operates primarily in Quebec, Ontario and the United States. Founded in 1945, Thibodeau has a workforce of 815 employees and has 1,530 tractors and trailers operating out of 14 terminals. In 2006, the group generated revenues of more than $80 million.

The addition of Thibodeau strengthens TransForce's existing less-than-truckload and truckload operations, giving TransForce greater capacity in these segments in Eastern Canada.
