Transaction in Own Shares
Essentra plc ("Essentra", or the "Company") announces that during the period between 2 September 2026 and16 October 2026, it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") through Peel Hunt LLP as part of the buyback programme announced on 29 March 2023 (the "Buyback Programme").

Ordinary Shares purchased under the Buyback Programme may be either cancelled or held in treasury for subsequent use in connection with the Company's share schemes. The Company intends that the Ordinary Shares purchased pursuant to the transactions set out in this announcement will be cancelled.
Following settlement of the above purchases, the Company will have 286,573,637 Ordinary Shares of 25 pence each in issue, of which 3,456,557 Ordinary Shares will be held in treasury. Shares held in treasury do not carry voting rights. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in Essentra will be 283,117,080
The figure of 283,117,080 may be used by shareholders, and others with notification obligations, as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
