  Trading Update

Resilient six months of trading on track to meet full year expectations

Vp plc, the specialist equipment rental business, today provides a trading update for the six months ended 30 September 2026.

The Group remains on course to perform in line with market expectations* for the year ending 31 March 2027 (FY27), with H2 FY27 expected to outperform H2 FY26.

Within our end markets, electricity transmission continues to perform well, rail remains stable and we have seen encouraging momentum in water as AMP8 activity has grown in the second quarter. The Group’s International segment continues to perform well.

Performance in the Group’s Brandon Hire Station division has improved following last year’s restructure, despite continued challenges in the General Construction market. As expected, some exceptional costs relating to the restructure have been recognised in this financial year.

The Group continues to progress its strategic priorities, maintaining a focus on operational excellence, customer service and growth across its specialist businesses. Investment in our digital transformation programme continues to drive improved operational efficiency and our enhanced Executive Committee has strengthened the Group’s leadership, supporting the effective delivery of our strategy.

Alice Woodwark, Chief Executive of Vp, commented: “The first half of the financial year has again demonstrated the strength and resilience of our diverse business model. Momentum in our UK segment increases our second half confidence, where we remain well positioned to take advantage of supportive infrastructure markets, specifically in water and electricity transmission. We will provide further details at our interim results.”
