Tokyo Century to Participate in Solar and Onshore Wind Power Projects in the UK Strengthening the Renewable Energy Business Foundation in Europe Through the Acquisition of Interests in High-Quality Operational Power Assets Tokyo Century Corporation (President & CEO, Representative Director: Koji Fujiwara; Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; "Tokyo Century") has today signed an agreement with asset management funds under Octopus Energy Generation, part of global energy company Octopus Energy Group, to co-invest in operating solar and onshore wind power plants. This partnership will allow us to leverage operational expertise and networks to accelerate the growth of our renewable energy business overseas.

Breach Project site

Under the agreement, Tokyo Century will acquire a 49% stake in the Breach Solar Farm (67 MW) in England and a 49% stake in the onshore Crossdykes Wind Farm (46 MW, 10 wind turbines) in Scotland. The remaining interests will be held by Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust plc (ORIT) and the Octopus Renewables Infrastructure SCSp (ORI SCSp), both managed by Octopus Energy Generation.

Both plants have long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with major UK corporations committed to clean energy procurement. These agreements support the UK's corporate decarbonization efforts while ensuring stable, predictable revenue streams. In addition, the Breach project holds the right to develop a battery storage facility and will explore construction plans in the future.

Tokyo Century regards Octopus Energy, the UK's largest energy supplier, as an optimal operations partner for its UK renewable energy business. As a global energy specialist with investments in renewable projects across 21 countries through its generation arm, Octopus has extensive experience and deep expertise in managing renewable energy assets and will help us strengthen our European business foundation through this collaboration.

This investment marks the latest milestone in our European expansion, followingparticipation in UK solar projects in

February 2024*1, an Italian solar project in December 2024*2, and UK onshore wind projects in November 2025*3. Moving forward, Tokyo Century will expand its renewable energy portfolio primarily in Europe and North America with trusted partners, contributing to the spread of clean energy and the realization of a decarbonized society.
