CALGARY, Jan. 16 /CNW/ - Sylogist Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SYZ) ("Sylogist" or
the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Long as Chief
Operating Officer of the Company.
The appointment of Michael Long will enable Sylogist to provide dedicated
leadership for key areas of business operations as the Company moves forward
with its strategic growth plans. With a proven track record of leadership in
business development, operations and profit delivery, Michael adds substantial
depth to our management team. His knowledge of developing and managing client
contracts, particularly in the public sector, will be a great asset to
Sylogist's growing municipal managed services business.
Michael joins Sylogist from Fujitsu Consulting where in six years he
progressed from Calgary Managing Director to Senior Vice President of Canadian
Delivery and Operations. In his latter role he held P&L responsibility while
managing operations, sales support and a large base of employees with annual
revenues of approximately $100 million. During the past year of his tenure at
Fujitsu, profitability under his area of responsibility more than doubled.
Prior to his tenure at Fujitsu, Michael held key business development and
client management roles with SHL Systemhouse.
