CALGARY, July 13 /CNW/ - Sylogist Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SYZ) ("Sylogist" or
the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bill Hews as
Chairman of the Board of Directors. He replaces Mr. Stephen Lougheed who has
stepped down from the board in order to focus more time on a new business
initiative.
In addition, the company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
R.G. (Rob) Moffat to the Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Mr. Jim Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company
said: "I am extremely pleased with the new board appointments. The added depth
of experience will help guide the Company through its ambitious growth plans.
The appointment of Bill Hews as Chairman of the Board provides continuity as
the Company expands its existing businesses. We are fortunate to have
attracted Mr. Moffat to the Sylogist Board. Mr. Moffat is currently the
President and Chief Executive Officer and Director of Bow Valley Energy Ltd.
He is an experienced executive and board member whose 28 years in the oil and
gas industry has a proven track record of building shareholder value for
emerging companies. We look forward to his guidance as Sylogist continues to
develop and implement its strategic business plan". Mr. Wilson also expressed
his thanks and appreciation to Mr. Lougheed in saying; "Stephen joined the
company in 2002, and as Chief Executive Officer and then Chairman contributed
